You can use the Input module to capture numerical inputs/responses from the caller such as dates of birth, ages, account numbers/ID numbers, license details, date entires, monetary amounts etc. Eg. "Please enter your user ID followed by the hash key".
1. Basic Info
Click on the Basic Info icon to set the friendly name for the module, set the helper button (i.e. the key that will repeat the module message to the caller if they want to hear it again eg. "to hear this message again, press *) (optional), the DTMF end input key (i.e. the key the caller can hit to indicate they have finished with the input) (optional) and set any specific tag required for the module (optional). You can also copy the module and delete the module here.
2. Voice Message
Click on the Voice Message icon to select whether you wish the message to be read as text to speech (TTS) or whether you would like
Click on the Branching icon to set the input type (i.e. number, date or any input), to set the parameters for the input (i.e. min and max digits, date format) and to set branching rules if required. For more information see How do I set rules for the inputs in the Input module?
Note: To get an outbound branch, make sure you set at least 1 branching rule in the branching menu.
4. Error Handler
Click on the Error Handler icon to set the number of attempts you will permit the caller to have if they enter an invalid input and to select the required Error Handler.
5. No Response Handler
Click on the No Response Handler icon to set the DTMF timeout (i.e. the amount of time the system will wait before determining that the caller did not enter an input), set the number of retires you will permit your caller to have if they do not enter a response, and select the required No Response Handler.
